| Profile of SGA
The first venture of the group was formed on 26th Aug 1998, on the auspicious day of “Ganesh Chaturthi”. The academy is ISO 9001-2000 certified by LRQS. The academy is attached with SVS Foundation “A Public Charitable Trust”.
The academy is one of the only maritime training institute in India, having permanent faculty from its inception. The training is of the highest standard and all infrastructure is on ownership basis. It shows the commitment & vision of the academy.
The academy is located at the Central Business District (CBD), Belapur, New Mumbai, Next to the Belapur Railway station. This enables the student’s easy access to the academy. One entire floor of 10000 sqft space is dedicated for the training purpose.
SGA arranges accommodation for students on request at nearby places at a reasonable rate.
The Courses offered at the academy under STCW’95 rules are all D.G. Shipping, Govt. of India approved courses and rated by CRISIL.
